Complain :) ecryptfs-unwrap-passphrase ~/.ecryptfs/wrapped-passphrase

Hôm qua em đổi password của Ubuntu account. Tiếp đó không mount được
$HOME đã được mã hóa bằng eCryptfs.

May mắn trong $HOME, eCryptfs để lại một file plaintext, lần qua lại thì
ra hướng dẫn mount $HOME sau khi đổi Ubuntu account password:
$ecryptfs-unwrap-passphrase ~/.ecryptfs/wrapped-passphrase

Linux user với hiểu biết thông thường (chưa thạo command line) chắc sẽ
expect rằng nếu đổi password hệ thống thì password của hệ thống thì
password của mình dùng trong toàn bộ hệ thống cũng được đổi theo - nghĩa
là họ chỉ cần dùng 01 password.

Nghe chừng Linux vẫn chưa dễ sài cho người dùng phổ thông :)

Why and how to delegate works

Deligate: Ủy thác, giao việc cho người khác - Là cách hoàn thành công việc (của mình) qua tay người khác. Đây là một trong những kỹ năng quản lý/lãnh đạo cơ bản.

The final test of leadership is to leave behind men and women with the conviction, commitment and competency to carry on ... and this can be accomplished through delegation. Delegation is the on-going process by which a leader assigns additional tasks (i.e., responsibilities and authority) to a subordinate in such a way that there is acceptance of responsibility for the assigned tasks.


Why Delegate









  1. Benefits to the leader
    •   Eased work pressures - not dominated by minor details
    •   Increased time for primary (broader) responsibilities
    •   Increased time for self-development

  2. Benefits to the subordinate
    •   Challenge and interest
    •   Increased motivation
    •   Increased opportunities to learn and grow
The twin goals of delegation are (1) the development of subordinates and (2) the increased effectiveness of the leader.


Why One Manager Does Not Delegate
  • He can do it faster and better.

    Even if this is true, does he have confidence in his ability to get the thing done through others rather than doing it himself? In other words, can he delegate?

  • He thinks his subordinates can't handle the assignment and will make a mess of it.

    Honestly, he does not know unless and until he tries them out; moreover he can train them to do it.

  • It takes too long to train/guide them to do it.

    Yes, it may take a longer time in the short run but he is not investing in the short-term task but in the long-term development of his staff. Moreover, when they can handle the job, he would have more time for his primary responsibilities such as setting departmental/organisational direction and objectives and building teamwork.

  • If he trains his subordinates to do it then wouldn't he become dispensable?

    Isn't that a good thing that you have a replacement ... so that you can be promoted to a higher level in the organisation?
If this manager continues not to delegate, he may be taking a shortcut to the cemetery because the work will be too big and heavy for him to bear alone. Meanwhile, his subordinates will become bored and lose enthusiasm in their jobs.


How to Delegate
  1. Select the task to be delegated and match it to the proper person

    Delegation is not the assignment of routine tasks to anyone who happens to be available. There is a need to assess strengths, weaknesses and previous experience of all available personnel and then match them with tasks that will utilize their strengths and experience.

    Looking again at Moses' criteria in his selection of men to help him in the task of mediation (Exo 18:21-23), we see that he chose spiritually and morally qualified men for the tasks. We too need to look for these same qualities in our potential candidates.

  2. Meet for the initial delegation and motivate

    The key to successful delegation is communication of the importance of the assigned tasks and how they fit into the grand scheme of things. You need to present the tasks from his perspective, "What's in it for me?" In other words, ensure that there is benefit for the person. This is also when you communicate performance expectations and clarify the extent of his authority.
  3. Maintain supervisory control - observe, review and coach Delegation is not the abandonment of tasks. As a leader, you are still ultimately responsible therefore time should be set aside to observe and meet with the subordinate for follow-through and review of the delegated areas. This follow-through will give you the opportunity to coach the subordinate in his new assigned tasks. Time spent with your subordinate will also provide you with the information to decide whether to intervene or to allow him to fail and learn from his mistakes.

    Be careful not to take a problem out of a subordinate's hands and make a decision when he merely wants to discuss it with you. Let him take the wheel; do not be a back-seat driver i.e., do not make decisions that your subordinate could otherwise make for himself.

    Continue to guide him by asking questions to clarify his objectives, raise up all key-related facts, think of alternatives and possibilities and finally consider consequences of actions.

Re: LibreOffice 3.6.3 RC1 ra lò, không nhiều thay đổi lắm

Thay đổi của LibreOffice 3.6.3 không nhiều:
- (Với ODF format), dùng encryption mode khác trong mặc định
- Điều khiển tính tương thích ngược với các phiên bản ODF cũ tốt hơn.

Các thay đổi khác chủ yếu là bugfixes.

Mozilla phát hành Thunderbird 16

Mozilla đã lặng lẽ phát hành bản Thunderbird 16 dù tổ chức này đã từng
tuyên bố không nâng cấp chức năng mà chỉ duy trì các bản vá bảo mật nếu
cần thiết.

Số phiên bản Thunderbird 16 được đặt trùng với phiên bản của Firefox 16.

Phần mềm quản lý dự nào nào?

A: Em xin lỗi trước vụ troll: MS Project làm được việc đó.

Redmine làm được, nhưng thủ công.

Nhưng bác đừng hy vọng vào tool quản lý nào tự động quản lý được tới mức
đó.

Bác thử thêm: www.projectmanager.com

Quản lý budget: MS Project, ProjectManager.com làm được.
Quản lý task: MS Project, ProjectManager.com, Redmine làm được.
Tham chiếu chéo (task dependency) thì MS Project, ProjectManager.com đều
làm được.

Có phần mềm nào hỗ trợ việc biên soạn dự án không các bác nhỉ? Ví dụ làm

editor và bảng tính.

    • Hội thảo theo phong cách Barcamp (Hội trường chính + 02 hội trường nhỏ): các chủ đề về ứng dụng FOSS trong học tập nghiên cứu; các chính sách liên quan đến PMTDNM, chuyên sâu về kinh doanh mở, công nghệ mở, chuẩn mở,… Người nghe sẽ tự lựa chọn các chủ đề mình muốn nghe trong danh sách đã được đăng kí khi đó các chủ đề sẽ được chia về các phòng nhỏ hơn để trình bày.
    • Thi đấu trò chơi: Supertux-Kart
    • Lớp học cài đặt: Ubuntu, Fedora, Mint, Asianux (tại phòng máy, do nhóm ubuntu.vn, KGCĐ): người học cần đăng kí trước theo mẫu đi kèm;
  • 16:30 - 17:00: Trao quà tặng, Giải thưởng thi đấu , tổng kết, bế mạc

Các hoạt động khác

  • Giới thiệu, hướng nghiệp cho học sinh, sinh viên trong lĩnh vực PMTDNM:
  • Dùng internet miễn phí cả ngày (có Wi-Fi)
  • Khu vực triển lãm:
    • Khám phá các bản phân phối GNU/Linux phổ biến: Ubuntu, Fedora, Mint. Các máy này sẽ được tùy biến để có giao diện đẹp nhất, thân thiện nhất với người dùng.
    • Đại diện Fastest sẽ mang tới 01 máy workstation và cài các máy ảo linux trên đó. Mục đích: thể hiện tính tùy biến cao và khả năng hoạt động đa dạng, đa nền tảng của linux…
    • Người tham quan có thể tự do khám phá khu vực này và yêu cầu tư vấn, giúp đỡ hỏi đáp từ các thành viên của Ban tổ chức.
  • Phát đĩa live CD GNU/Linux các loại (ghi danh, số lượng có hạn):
    • Fedora 17
    • Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS (các bạn có thể chép tệp iso và tự ghi đĩa live CD hoặc tự tạo ra một live USB ngay tại chỗ: sẽ có hướng dẫn)
    • Elementary OS Daily Build
    • Linux Mint 13
    • TheOpendisc 12.09.vi, bản Việt hóa (đĩa chứa các phần mềm tự do, nguồn mở dùng trên windows)

Goods và Commodity

Trong kinh tế, Goods và Commodity khác, giống nhau thế nào?
Commodity bao gồm Goods?

Trong CNTT, các khái niệm sau cần làm rõ:
- Sản phẩm CNTT
- Dịch vụ CNTT

Trong tiếng Anh hình như không có từ tương đương với "sản phẩm CNTT" và
"dịch vụ CNTT".

Một số khái niệm liên quan và gần gũi hơn:
- Sản phẩm số (digital product)
- Nội dung số (digital content)
- Dịch vụ số (digital service)
- Hàng hóa số (digital goods hay digital commodity?)
Có thể coi "hàng hóa số" bao gồm 3 loại còn lại (sản phẩm số, nội
dung số, dịch vụ số)?

Trước khi CNTT ra đời, "sản phẩm", "hàng hóa" được xem là những gì sờ
được, cân, đo, đong đếm được.
Trong khi đó, "dịch vụ" được hiểu là những gì không sờ thấy được
(intangible).

Khi CNTT ra đời, cách nhìn về dịch vụ, sản phẩm cũng như việc "sờ" thấy
được có thay đổi. Ví dụ:
- Nhạc (đĩa CD), phim, ảnh, sách có thể tồn tại ở dạng vật lý hay dạng
số (là một tệp)
- Sản phẩm phần mềm như hệ điều hành, bộ phần mềm văn phòng có thể "sờ"
được nếu đóng gói bằng hộp giấy nhưng cũng có thể không "sờ" được, cân
được nếu ở dạng tệp trên Internet.

Theo wikipedia:

1. In economics, a service is an intangible commodity. More
specifically, services are an intangible equivalent of economic goods.

2. In economics, a good is something that is intended to satisfy some
wants or needs of a consumer and thus has economic utility. It is
normally used in the plural form—goods—to denote tangible commodities
such as products and materials.

3. In economics, a commodity is the generic term for any marketable item
produced to satisfy wants or needs. Economic commodities comprise goods
and services

Sho-sei và sho-shoku - Kính ngữ tiếng Nhật

Tóm tắt:
小生, 小職：　
- Không nên dùng.
- Thực tế người Nhật vẫn dùng nhiều
- Chỉ là sếp to mới nên dùng từ này (đối với cấp dưới).
- Dùng từ này với người ngoài có thể bị coi là khệnh.

×　小生が思うに、顧客向けの文書では「小生云々」は使わない方が宜しかろう
と存じます。
○　私の考えでは、お客様向けの文書では「小生云々」は使わない方が良いと思
います。

このように、小生は、文章全体の文体をも左右しかねません。
ですから、前者では、「偉そうに答えやがって」と思われることでしょう。
全体に高所から情報を発している文体になっているので当然のことです。
小職も、また、同じです。
加えて、何か、官僚的な上意下達の臭いも感じます。

役職者が、自分の立場を謙虚に言う言葉です。
どのレベルの役職者が使うのかは決まっていませんが、
謙虚にするなら、逆に使わないほうが良い言葉かなと思います。

例えば部長が、｢小職、こう思うのですが、どうでしょうか？｣と言った場合、
部長としての立場を謙虚にして発言しています。
まぁ、発言力は変わりませんが…

今は使う人はほとんどおらず、
通じない人が多いので使用は止めたほうが無難かなと、私は思います。
